Raúl Figueroa Sierra

About

I am a mathematician from Bogotá, Colombia. I completed my Ph.D. in Mathematics at Universidad de los Andes (Colombia) in June 2025. My doctoral dissertation, Combinatorics of Ideals on ω: the Category Dichotomy and the Measure Dichotomy, was supervised by Carlos Augusto di Prisco and Michael Hrušák. Previously, I obtained a Master’s degree in Mathematics at Universidad de los Andes under the supervision of Xavier Caicedo. I completed my undergraduate studies in Mathematics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, where I worked with Pedro Zambrano.

Research interests #

My research lies in mathematical logic, with primary interests in descriptive set theory, infinite combinatorics, and forcing.
